The inclement weather has severely impacted on the LDLs scheduled fixture list this weekend
THE scheduled weekend Limerick District League (LDL) weekend fixture list has been severely impacted due to the recent wet weather.
The LDL confirmed on Thursday night that 'with the inclement weather over the last few days, the LDL have decided to cancel all games on grass pitches this weekend'.
However, a limited number of games are set to go ahead as planned this Saturday and Sunday.
The FAI Junior Cup fixtures are set to go ahead as planned. Five LDL clubs are in FAI Junior Cup action this Saturday and Sunday, with two of the local sides having home advantage for their ties.
The FAI U17 fixtures scheduled to take place this weekend are also set to go ahead as well as three fixtures being played on astroturf pitches, the Division 2A League meeting of Aisling Annacotty and Killmallock, the Division 3B league fixture between Moyross and Nenagh set to take place on the TUS Astroturf pitch and the U17 Division 1 game involving Aisling Annacotty and Nenagh on the astroturf pitch in Annacotty.
The LDL has wished all clubs participating in the FAI Junior matches and U17 matches the very best of luck this weekend.
