Abbeyfeale apprentice jockey visits Dundalk winners enclosure

ABBEYFEALE apprentice Paddy Harnett partnered Getaway Queen to land her fifth success at Dundalk and her eighth in all when winning the opening two-mile handicap on the all-weather on Wednesday last.

Trained by Ken Budds, the 15/2 chance scored by half a length from the Noel Meade-trained Roman Song in the colours of Mark Landers.

Trainer Laura Hourigan and Castlemahon jockey Mark Enright combined to win the second of the afternoon’s eight-furlong handicaps with Notforalongtime, which was successful for the pair at the track last month.

A 5/1 chance in the trainer’s own silks, the five-year-old held on to win by a head from the David Marnane-trained Tynamite.
