Benetton player cited for incident in Munster PRO14 fixture

Benetton centre Tommaso Benvenuti has been cited following an incident in their Guinness PRO14 clash with Munster in Italy on Friday night last

BENETTON Rugby centre Tommaso Benvenuti is to appear before a Disciplinary Committee today, Wednesday, after being cited following incident with Munster's Stephen Archer in their Guinness PRO14 fixture at the Stadio di Monigo on Friday evening last. 

The Disciplinary Committee will meet in Edinburgh, Scotland to consider the Citing Complaint made against Benvenuti for an incident during the second half of Friday night's Round 20 fixture.

The player has been reported by the Citing Commissioner in charge for infringement of 9.20 – A player must not make contact with an opponent above the line of the shoulders. 

The player was shown a yellow card at the time by referee Ben Whitehouse.

The Player will face a Disciplinary Committee via video conference, the Committee will comprise of Rory Bannerman (Chair), Frank Hadden and Jennifer Rae (All Scotland).
