Top amateur boxing talent set for St Francis Boxing Club show in Limerick

SOME of Ireland’s top amateur boxing talent will be on show this Halloween Bank Holiday weekend.

St Francis Boxing Club are hosting a show in St Johns Pavilion this Sunday October 28. The first bout is 2pm.

There will be eight fights on the card, which will feature Limerick’s top elite senior boxers against opponents from clubs in Galway, Antrim and Cork.

The headline fight will be Irish senior and U-22 champion Kevin Sheehy against Celtic Cup champion Dean Scullion, from Antrim.

Also boxing will be former Irish senior champion and current Celtic Cup elite champion Tommy Casey, who will face Connacht Elite champion Gary McDonald.

Limerick’s former Elite champion Myles Casey and Martin Keenan will also be on the exciting card.

Other Limerick senior boxers to feature include Shane O’Brien, Tommy O’Neill and William McNamara.

There will be music by The Boatmen, a DJ and raffle on the day.

Admission on Sunday for adults is €10 and U-12s are €5.
