Gerbrandt Grobler opens up over drug ban ahead of Munster return

Former Munster second row Gerbrandt Grobler in action against Leinster last season returns to Thomond Park with Gloucester this Saturday

FORMER Munster second-row Gerbrandt Grobler has opened up about his decision to take steroids which resulted in two-year ban from rugby in 2014 whilst playing for Western Province.

Twenty sive-year-old Grobler returns to Thomond Park this weekend as part of the Gloucester squad for their Heineken Champions Cup Pool 2 fixture this Saturday, 1pm.

In a newspaper interview, Grobler reveals that he  ‘lost everything – my house, my car, my friends, my job’ as a result of the ban.
