LIMERICK FC will host Cobh Ramblers in a rearranged EA Sports Cup second round tie at the Markets Field on Monday night, 7.45pm.

The game will be Limerick’s second outing in the space of 72 hours following the Blues gritty 0-0 draw with Bohemians in the SSE Airtricity League Premier Division at Dalymount Park on Friday night.

Limerick’s EA Sports Cup fixture with First Division Cobh Ramblers had been due to take place on Easter Monday, but was postponed due to a waterlogged pitch.

The point Limerick gained against Bohs in the league on Friday night saw the Shannonsiders move eight points clear of bottom side Bray Wanderers.

Limerick have struggled in front of goal this season, managing just four goals in their opening 10 Premier Division fixtures to date.

Manager Tommy Barrett is likely to make a number of changes to the side which drew with the Gypsies at Dalymount Park for Monday’s night’s Cup meeting with Cobh.

Tommy Barrett’s Limerick side return to SSE Airtricity League Premier Division action on Saturday night, April 14, at 6.30pm.
