Betting Tips: Garryowen can give bookies' a dose of the 'Light Blues'

One Direction: Niall Horan of Garryowen in action against Cork Con

The Ulster Bank League resumes this Saturday with just four series of regular season games left. In Division 1A, fourth-placed Conan Doyle’s Garryowen are fancied to make the play-offs.

The Dooradoyle side enjoy a four-point lead over fifth-placed Young Munster ahead of their remaining fixtures against Terenure College, Clontarf, Buccaneers and St Mary’s.

At 7/1, Garryowen represent a decent bet to win the Ulster Bank League title. Lansdowne top the betting at 5/6, with Terenure College and Cork Con priced at 9/2.

The ‘Light Blues’ are just two points off second-placed Terenure and victory over them at Dooradoyle on Saturday would see them leapfrog ‘Nure into the home semi-final places. Home advantage in the semi-finals would be massive for their prospects.

Selection: Garryowen to win Ulster Bank League 7/1.

THE world's top golfers are in Naucalpan this week for the 2018 WGC-Mexico Championship.

At 30/1, Paul Casey represents decent value as an each-way prospect. Casey has been hot this season with three top-12 finishes, including a seventh-place finish at the CIMB Classic.
