Donnacha Ryan made his debut for Racing 92 in the French Top 14 on Sunday
FORMER Munster second row Donnacha Ryan made his long-awaited debut for Racing 92 in their Top 14 clash with local rivals Stade Francais at Stade Jean Bouin on Sunday.
Ryan has recovered fully from a neck hernia injury which had kept him sidelined since his summer move from Munster to the French Top 14 giants.
Ryan lined out in Racing’s second row alongside Leone Nakarawa for the game.
It was the 33-year-old’s first appearance since Munster’s Pro12 final defeat to Scarlets at the Aviva Stadium in May. Ryan won 167 caps for Munster during his time with the province.but it ended in a 27-17 Top 14 defeat to Stade Francais.

Ryan’s Racing 92 side is due to host Munster in Pool 4 of the European Champions Cup in Paris in January.
Before that, Racing face French Top 14 rivals Castres Olympique in the first of two back-to-back fixtures in the Champions Cup next weekend.
