NEWLY crowned SSE Airtricity League First Division champions Limerick FC will be presented to the crowd at Wednesday night’s soccer international friendly at the Aviva Stadium.
The Blues squad will train at the FAI heaquarters in the National Sports Campus at Abbottstown this afternoon before travelling to the Republic of Ireland’s international clash with Oman, in Robbie Keane’s last game for his country before retiring.
Limerick FC wrapped up the First Division title with six games to spare following their 3-2 victory over UCD at the UCD Bowl on Sunday night.
Limerick FC wil host Waterford Utd at the Markets Field in their next First Division fixture on Saturday evening, 6.30pm, when a large attendance if expected.
The Blues are looking to go through the entire First Division unbeaten. The champions have won 20 and drawn two of their 22 league fixtures to date.
Limerick are making an instant return to the Premier Division following their relegation from the top flight at the hands of Finn Harps in a two-legged play-off.
