Limerick FC go 17 points clear after bizarre win over UCD

LIMERICK FC MOVED 17 points clear at the summit of the SSE Airtricity League First Division after a bizarre 4-3 win UCD at the Markets Field.

Goals from Stephen Kenny, Aaron Greene and a brace from Chris Mulhall ensured that Martin Russell's men took all three points despite a brave display from Collie O'Neill's outfit.

Referee Kevin O'Regan had four penalty decisions to make across the 90 minutes - struggling to keep a hold of the game.

Gary O'Neill, Greg Sloggett and Kieran Marty Waters had the College right in contention until the final minute, but it wasn't to be - as Limerick proved too good for the inexperienced side.
