LIMERICK have named 10 of their All Ireland U-21 hurling final team for the start of their title defence this Tuesday against Cork in the Munster quarter final.
Four of John Kiely’s 2015 winning team are overage, while Sean Finn is out injured for the season.
Into the team for Tuesday (7.30) in Pairc Ui Rinn come Eoghan McNamara, Sean Flanagan, Andrew La Touche Cosgrave, Aaron Gillane and Peter Casey.
Casey and La Touche Cosgrave were introduced as subs in last September’s All Ireland final win over Wexford.
With the entire half back lie overage, Limerick now have Na Piarsaigh’s All Ireland club winner Ronan Lynch at centre back. Lynch was in the Limerick U-21 attack last season. Likewise for Colin Ryan, who is now at wing back with La Touche Cosgrave the other wing back.
The Cork team includes three members of senior hurling panel – goalkeeper Patrick Collins, full back Sean O’Donoghue and midfielder Niall Cashman were all subs in their Munster SHC loss to Tipperary.
