Four Limerick players in Amsterdam and Newcastle 7s action

FOUR Limerick-based players are involved in two Ireland 7’s mens squads competing in international tournaments in Amsterdam and Newcastle this weekend.

Munster Academy players Dan Goggin of Young Munster and Alex Wootton of Garryowen are members of the Ireland 7’s squad taking part in the Amsterdam 7’s Invitational event.

The Ireland Men’s 7s team face the Oxfam Crusaders, LRC Diok and Monaco in three pool fixtures this Saturday, May 28.

The play-off fixtures in the tournament take place on Sunday.

Meanwhile, Alan Bennie, of UL-Bohemian, and Ollie Lyons, of Shannon, are included in the Ireland Men's Sevens Development Squad for the Newcastle 7s Festival which also takes place this Saturday and Sunday.

The Ireland take face four pool fixtures this Saturday.
