HIGH-FLYING Limerick FC will look to make it 11 straight wins at the start of their SSE Airtricity League First Division season when hosting Athlone Town at the Markets Field this Friday, 7.15pm.
Leaders Limerick are currently 12 points clear of second-placed Drogheda United after winning each of their opening 10 league fixtures this season.
Limerick’s clash with Athlone was brought forward by 24 hours in order to avoid a clash with Pike Rovers FAI Junior Cup final clash with Sheriff YC at the Aviva Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
Limerick FC defeated Cobh Ramblers 3-0 at St Colman’s Park in their most recent First Division fixture.
Meanwhile, Limerick FC’s FAI Cup tie with Bluebell Utd has been reversed to the Markets Field, Saturday, May 21, 2pm.
