LIMERICK FC have been drawn away to Derry City at the semi-final stage of the EA Sports Cup.
First Division high-flyers Limerick will travel to the Brandywell for the high stakes last four clash on Monday, August 1. The kick-off time for the game has yet to be confirmed.
Shamrock Rovers will host St Patrick’s Athletic in the second semi-final.
Limerick FC’s last League Cup final success was in 2002. Martin Russell side’s has defeated Cobh Ramblers and two Premier Division sides, Wexford Youths and Galway United to reach the semi-finals.
The EA Sports Cup final will take place on Saturday, September 17.
Meanwhile, Limerick FC’s SSE Airtricity League First Division match with Athlone Town at the Markets Field, originally scheduled for Saturday May, 14 has been brought forward to Friday, May 13 with a 7.15pm kick-off.
The change is to accommodate football fans who wish to attend both the Limerick FC tie and the FAI Junior Cup final between Pike Rovers and Sheriff YC at the Aviva Stadium on Saturday, May 14, 4pm.
