Two winners for JP McManus on opening day in Punchestown

JP McManus had two winners on the opening day of the Punchestown National Hunt Festival.

25/1 shot Don't Touch It, trained by Jessica Harrington and ridden by Barry Geraghty, was the winner of the Grade 1 Herald Champion Novice Hurdle while favourite Yorkhill was back in fourth.

Enda Bolger trained the winner of the first race as 5/4 favourite Wish Ye Didn’t, under Nina Carbery, claimed the Fr Sean Breen Memorial Steeplechase.

Racing continues at the Kildare venue again on Wednesday with the first race off at 3.40pm. The Punchestown Gold Cup is the feature race at 5.30pm.
