Dale Taylor’s brace helps Blackpool to crucial win against Peterborough

Blackpool claimed a crucial 3-1 victory over Peterborough to stay four points clear of the League One relegation zone.

A Dale Taylor brace and one from Tom Bloxham helped the Seasiders to another vital win.

Ian Evatt’s side comfortably saw out the win, despite playing the final half-an-hour with 10 men after a red card for Fraser Horsfall, as Posh failed to add to Brandon Khela’s first-half goal.

Blackpool’s opener came after just two minutes. A carefully placed Jordan Brown corner was met by Taylor and he slotted home.

The Seasiders had several opportunities to extend their early advantage but were soon pegged back, with Khela firing past Bailey Peacock-Farrell.

Like the first half, Evatt’s side started the second brightly. After a couple of good chances, Bloxham found the finishing touch to restore the lead.

The game was paused after this due to a medical emergency in the crowd, but once play resumed Taylor bagged his second, before Horsfall was dismissed on the hour.
