Jordy Hiwula’s lone strike handed Boston a 1-0 National League victory over relegated Truro.
The hosts went ahead within 15 minutes at the Jakemans Community Stadium when striker Hiwula ran on to Marcel Lavinier’s through-ball and beat keeper Aidan Stone.
Stone saved Luca Barrington’s deflected effort and Lenell John-Lewis saw an attempt hacked off the line by defender Ryan Law, but the visitors went close when Tom Dean headed just wide from fellow substitute Connor Riley-Lowe’s cross before Connor Teale cleared after keeper Dan Cameron had saved Harry Charsley’s shot.
Oisin Gallagher failed to make the most of an early second-half opportunity to increase Boston’s lead after good work by Barrington, but it took a timely intervention by Lavinier to prevent Dean from converting Riley-Lowe’s inviting cross.
Charsley saw a late attempt deflected wide and Max Kinsey headed wide from the resulting corner as bottom-of-the-table Truro continued to fight for a way back into the game, but ultimately to no avail.
