A dominant second-half performance earned Cheltenham a 4-0 victory at Walsall and ended any lingering play-off hopes for the home side in the process.
Chances were few and far between in the first half and it was the home side who had the pick of them. Albert Adomah curled an effort just wide, Charlie Lakin dragged a shot across goal and Daniel Kanu had a strike that deflected onto the crossbar.
It was a different story after the break, though, with the Robins taking the game by the scruff of the neck.
George Miller skewed an effort wide with just the keeper to beat before the visitors took the lead in the 56th minute. A corner was played to Jordan Thomas and he threaded a pass through for Harry Ashfield to slot home from eight yards.
The second goal came in the 63rd minute when Isaac Hutchinson was able to ghost through the Walsall midfield and fire home before Miller added a third from close range in the 69th minute.
Substitute Josh Martin completed the scoring in the fourth minute of added time.
