Forest Green thrash relegation-threatened Brackley

Forest Green strengthened their grip on the play-offs and pushed Brackley closer to relegation from the Enterprise National League with an emphatic 4-0 win at the New Lawn.

The game swung in Rovers’ favour in first-half stoppage time when Brackley’s Zak Brown was sent off for a second bookable offence.

The hosts capitalised immediately as D’Mani Mellor tapped in following a short corner for his second goal since joining the club from Macclesfield last month.

Kyle McAllister fired in a second on 74 minutes, Jili Buyabu added another soon after and Laurent Mendy wrapped up the points in the closing moments.
