Solihull snap 10-game winless run by beating Altrincham

Solihull ended a 10-game winless National League run as they beat Altrincham 1-0 at the ARMCO Arena.

The Moors scored the only goal in the 10th minute when Joe Sbarra slotted into the far corner.

Altrincham defender Eddy Jones saw his long-range effort saved by Solihull goalkeeper Laurie Walker before Lucas Weaver got clear of the home defence, but sent his shot narrowly wide.

Solihull went close again early in the second half when Tobi Sho-Silva had his shot saved by Luke Hutchinson and Sbarra fired the rebound wide.

Altrincham saw a late chance spurned as substitute Tylor Golden stabbed a loose ball over the crossbar.
