Ian Henderson snatched a stoppage-time winner as Rochdale completed a stunning 2-1 comeback victory at Sutton to remain top of the National League.
There were several opportunities for both sides to break the deadlock before Charlie Bell finally fired the hosts in front with a 78th-minute screamer.
Devante Rodney levelled in the 89th minute, which looked like it would at least ensure second-placed York would be unable to leapfrog Rochdale into the top spot.
Henderson then sealed all three points in the seventh minute of stoppage time, pouncing on a loose ball from an earlier Rodney attempt and applying the close-range finish.
