Conor Wilkinson fired Solihull ahead from the penalty spot after just eight minutes following a handball inside the area.
Hartlepool’s miserable start continued on 24 minutes when Gavan Holahan scored an own goal.
But the visitors hit back in style before the break as Alex Reid headed in from Jamie Miley’s cross before Miley smashed in a superb effort from range to level the scores.
Tyrese Sinclair struck the decisive blow six minutes from time as he fired in from Matty Daly’s cross before he added a fourth in the 11th minute of added time.
Solihull still had time to pull one back with a second penalty from Emmanuel Sonupe.
