Will Harris on target again as Halifax get the better of Truro

Will Harris struck two minutes from time to give Halifax a 1-0 National League victory over relegation-battling Truro.

In a first half of few clear-cut chances, Truro goalkeeper Aidan Stone made a smart double save on the brink of half-time to deny Harris and Josh Hmami.

Shaun Donnellan’s block in the 70th minute thwarted Halifax again before Truro threatened on the counter and home keeper Sam Johnson kept out Dominic Johnson-Fisher’s effort at his near post.

Angelo Capello fired over 10 minutes from time but Halifax got their winner when AJ Warburton crossed for Harris to fire in his 19th of the season in all competitions.

Truro are now six points from safety.
