Ben Wiles scored his first MK Dons goal as his side continued their promotion charge with a 2-0 win at Accrington.
Wiles joined from Huddersfield nine days ago and gave the Dons the lead before Aaron Collins made the points safe, ending a run of three league games without a win.
Accrington had early chances through Donald Love and Shaun Whalley, but it was MK Dons who made theirs count.
Callum Paterson’s header sent Wiles clean through and he stroked the ball past Ollie Wright to give them a 14th-minute lead.
Accrington then had two good opportunities to level, with Isaac Sinclair’s strike pushed out by Craig McGillivray while Whalley’s free header was wide.
The visitors’ second goal came in the fourth minute of time added on at the end of the first half when, from a goal-kick, Jon Mellish set up Collins in the area and he fired home his fifth goal of the season.
The second half was stop-start, with Paddy Madden’s effort on the turn saved by McGillivray in the 73rd minute while MK Dons’ best chance fell to Paterson after 84 minutes as he hit the crossbar from the edge of the area.
