Reeco Hackett was at the double as Lincoln continued their promotion push with a 3-1 victory against Barnsley.
The impressive Imps made it three straight league victories at home in front of the Sincil Bank faithful.
It was a quiet opening to proceedings, with the first big chance falling to Freddie Draper when he fired over from seven yards out.
Hackett broke the deadlock in the 36th minute as the hosts made use of a slip inside the box to blast home the opener.
Jack Molyan, who provided the cross for the first goal, forced Michael Cooper into a good save after a one-two with Hackett.
George Wickens ensured a lead at the break when he kept out Davis Keillor-Dunn’s effort.
After the restart, Reyes Cleary saw his shot from an acute angle beat away.
Keillor-Dunn turned home Jonathan Bland’s cross in the 67th minute to level.
But within seconds Tom Bayliss lobbed Cooper, sparking choice words between the visitors.
And Hackett wrapped up the points three minutes later as another defensive mistake allowed him to net his fifth goal of the season.
