Daniel Kyerewaa inspired Reading’s first away win in the league this season as they beat Blackpool 3-0.
Kyerewaa created the opener for Kamari Doyle and drew the foul that enabled Lewis Wing to score from the spot. Kyerewaa also saw a shot parried that led to Randell Williams netting Reading’s third.
Blackpool started brightly but failed to make the most of their chances. Andy Lyons and Hayden Coulson fired high and Ashley Fletcher was twice denied by keeper Joel Pereira.
Reading then took the lead just before the half-hour mark, Doyle slotting home after excellent work by Kyerewaa. The winger skipped neatly through the Blackpool defence before pulling back for Doyle, who made no mistake from eight yards out.
Kelvin Ehibhatiomhan almost doubled Reading’s lead in first-half stoppage time but his chip over Bailey Peacock-Farrell was cleared off the line by Olly Casey.
With 20 minutes remaining, Kyerewaa was brought down by Michael Ihiekwe and Wing dispatched the resulting spot-kick.
Ten minutes from time, Kyerewaa’s shot was saved by Peacock-Farrell but Blackpool failed to clear the ball and Williams sealed the win.
