Huddersfield end losing league run with home victory over struggling Plymouth

Huddersfield ended their three-game League One losing streak and heaped more misery on bottom-of-the-table Plymouth with a 3-1 victory at Accu Stadium.

The Terriers took control late in the first half after a cagey opening, with Josh Feeney’s header forcing goalkeeper Conor Hazard into a superb stop from a corner.

Dion Charles went close as he slid in to try and finish off Mickel Miller’s ball across the face of goal, but the forward was inches away from reaching it.

Huddersfield finally got the opener a couple of minutes later, a well-worked move ending with Charles squaring the ball for Bojan Radulovic to tap home.

Radulovic returned the favour midway through the second half, flicking on Ruben Roosken’s corner for Charles to slot home at the back post.

Huddersfield killed the game off five minutes from time when Charles sent substitute Cameron Ashia on his way to a sensational finish from just outside the box.

Lorent Tolaj scored with a diving header moments later to claw back a consolation for the Greens.
