Dan Creaney’s late goal proved enough as Solihull earned a much-needed 1-0 National League victory over Brackley at Damson Park.
Home goalkeeper Laurie Walker made a big save in the opening exchanges to deny former Moors forward Connor Hall, while Ben Worman’s effort from the edge of the box was forced wide at the other end.
Solihull striker Jake Wakeling also tested Saints keeper Jonny Maxted with a long-range shot as half-time approached.
Morgan Roberts came close but was kept out by Walker on the hour mark, while moments later, Worman had another effort saved as the hosts replied with a chance of their own.
It was Solihull who finally got on the scoresheet as Creaney broke the deadlock nine minutes from time with his third goal of the season.
