Sutton end losing run with battling point at Woking

Charlie Bell marked his Sutton debut with a second-half equaliser in a 1-1 National League draw against Woking at the Laithwaite Community Stadium.

The 22-year-old academy product struck in the 64th minute to help Sutton end a run of four successive defeats.

Chinwike Okoli, who had a loan spell at Sutton last season, had produced a diving header from Jack Turner’s corner in the 37th minute to put Woking ahead.

Harry Beautyman had a great chance to restore Woking’s lead moments after Bell’s leveller but his penalty was saved by goalkeeper Jack Sims.
