Huddersfield see perfect home record ended after goalless draw with Burton

Huddersfield dropped points at home for the first time this season as Burton claimed their first point on the road in a goalless stalemate.

Burton had the only real chances of a dull first half, with Tyrese Shade twice denied by good saves from Lee Nicholls to keep the ball out of the bottom corner.

Charlie Webster threatened to find an opener from just outside the box only for Ryan Ledson to make a flying block that turned it over the bar.

Huddersfield finally tested Bradley Collins with the hour approaching, Joe Taylor’s fierce shot being kept out by the Burton keeper.

That led to a more convincing spell of pressure from the hosts and Burton had Alex Hartridge to thank for clearing Sean Roughan’s shot off the line to keep it goalless.

Huddersfield kept pushing late in the game and threatened from a couple of set pieces but Joe Low put a free header straight at the keeper and the Terriers had two more efforts cleared off the line in added time.
