Rosallion is set to make his long-awaited return to action in Saturday’s Boylesports Lockinge Stakes at Newbury.
Richard Hannon’s colt finished second in the 2000 Guineas last year before winning the Irish equivalent and the St James’s Palace Stakes at Royal Ascot.
He was then a late withdrawal from the Sussex Stakes at Goodwood, before a problem kept him off the track for the rest of the season and he will be having his first run for 333 days.
Rosallion is conceding a fitness advantage to Roger Teal’s Dancing Gemini, already an impressive winner at Doncaster and Sandown this season having reverted to a mile after running in the Derby and Eclipse last year.
Another making his reappearance is Charlie Appleby’s Notable Speech, who got the better of Rosallion in the Guineas and took advantage of his absence at Goodwood.
Tamfana finished behind Dancing Gemini at Sandown but could try her luck again for David Menuisier, while Karl Burke’s Irish 1,000 Guineas winner Fallen Angel is also in contention in what looks a field stacked with class.
Dylan Cunha’s Prague, Checkandchallenge, Lead Artist, Persica and Storm Star complete the list of 10 possibles.
