Charlie Kelman’s late goal secures Leyton Orient victory over Lincoln

Charlie Kelman’s added-time goal secured promotion-chasing Leyton Orient a 3-2 victory over Lincoln at Brisbane Road.

A brace from Sonny Perkins had given Orient a two-goal advantage before the visitors hit back through Lewis Montsma and substitute James Collins, only for Kelman to strike at the death.

Perkins and Ethan Galbraith twice combined to put the hosts in command.

A 17th-minute free-kick by Randell Williams was headed on by Galbraith for Perkins to head past Imps keeper Zach Jeacock.

Then, five minutes later, energetic midfielder Galbraith shrugged off two tackles before picking out Perkins to net.

Lincoln narrowed the deficit in the seventh minute of first-half added time when Montsma crashed the ball home after Orient keeper Josh Keeley had clawed out Paudie O’Connor’s effort.

The Imps were deservedly back on level terms after 75 minutes when Keeley failed to deal with a set-piece, allowing Collins to stab home.

But, with time running out, Kelman seized on a Galbraith cross to stun the visitors.
