Swindon hit back to earn a point at Bromley

Swindon carried on their recent good form with a battling 1-1 draw at Bromley.

Rosaire Longelo’s second-half equaliser ensured the Robins a share of the spoils in a scrappy festive encounter.

The game took a long time to get going with the first half seeing very little by way of goalmouth action.

Nnamdi Ofoborh and Will Wright had the best of the opportunities, with the former dragging his low shot wide while the latter curled a free-kick the wrong side of the post.

The game eventually came to life 20 minutes from time.

Omar Sowunmi gave Bromley the lead (69) with a towering header from Idris Odutayo’s cross but the lead only lasted three minutes as Longelo’s excellent half-volleyed finish levelled the game up.

Swindon could have won it two minutes from time when Joel Cotterill’s deflected effort from distance bounce agonisingly past the post.

At the other end Corey Whitely fizzed an effort narrowly wide as both teams had to settle for a point apiece.
