Second-half substitute Richard Kone scored a hat-trick inside 10 minutes as Wycombe beat 10-man Peterborough 3-1 at Adams Park.
The Chairboys began the first half well as Dan Harvie, Caleb Taylor and Garath McCleary all went close.
The visitors’ best chance of the opening period fell to Ricky-Jade Jones, who was thwarted by Wanderers goalkeeper Franco Ravizzoli.
Peterborough took the lead five minutes after the restart as Jones tapped in Kwame Poku’s cross from close range, but the game turned on its head within 10 minutes.
Kone replaced Fred Onyedinma on the hour mark and the Ivorian scored Wanderers’ equaliser two minutes later with a deflected volley.
Sixty seconds later Kone got his second after he headed home a Josh Scowen long ball, and he secured his hat-trick after 72 minutes with a penalty.
Emmanuel Fernandez was given a second yellow card for a deliberate handball in the area, and up stepped the 21-year-old who sent Jed Steer the wrong way.
