Football rumours: Manchester United eye swoop for Evan Ferguson

What the papers say

Brighton striker Evan Ferguson has emerged as a target for Manchester United. The Daily Star reports they are considering a £50million move for the 19-year-old with Chelsea also keen on the Republic of Ireland international.

Leicester are working to sign Wilfried Zaha, 31, from Galatasaray as they return to the Premier League, according to The Daily Telegraph. The Foxes have also made a £23.2million bid for Panathinaikos and Greece striker Fotis Ioannidis, 24.

Ederson, 30, is staying at Manchester City after talks with manager Pep Guardiola, reports the Daily Mirror. The Brazil goalkeeper has been linked with a move to Saudi Arabia.

Newcastle are upping their drive to reach the Women’s Super League. The Guardian reports they are targeting a move for Manchester United striker Nikita Parris, 30.

Tammy Abraham: AC Milan are keen on taking the England striker, 26, on a loan move with an option to buy from Roma, according to Italian outlet Calcoimercato. Bournemouth, Everton and Leicester are also interested.
