Limerick minor hurling team to face Clare in Munster championship named

THE Limerick minor hurlers face Clare in round two of the Munster minor hurling championship tomorrow, Thursday, in Sixmilebridge at 19:00. 

Manager Shane Dowling has made one change to his starting 15 with Paul Murphy replacing Gearoid Enright in the half-back line. 

Last Friday Limerick came up short against Cork in the opening round of the Munster championship on a scoreline of 1-16 - 1-10. Clare defeated Waterford 0-22 to 0-13 in their most recent game. 

Limerick's Jack Cosgrove and Patrick Kearney will come up against their schoolmate Marc O’Brien who lines out for Clare. All three players lined out together for Ardscoil Ris this year. 

A win this week is crucial for the Shannonsiders to keep their hopes alive of reaching a Munster final. The top two teams at the end of the round-robin series will reach the Munster decider. 

After the Clare game, Limerick will have a two-week break. On May 2, Limerick will take on Waterford in TUS Gaelic Grounds and finish their group campaign off at home against Tipperary.
