THERE IS another local derby on the cards this weekend as the Limerick national league teams gear up for another weekend of action, this time with even higher stakes as National Cup takes hold.

Cup differs to the regular national league as each game is a knock-out to see who will progress to the finals in the new year.

In the men's President's Cup Limerick Sport Eagles will have a weekend off as they received a bye in the first round of games. They will be hoping an extra week of training will be enough to dust themselves off after an uncharacteristic loss at home in the national league last weekend to Mater Private Malahide.

Limerick Celtics men's team however are in action on home soil against SETU Waterford on Saturday, November 4 at 7:00pm.

An interesting draw in the women's division one national cup see's another local derby arise as Limerick Sport Huskies take on old rivals Limerick Celtics at 4:45pm on Saturday.

Celtics will have home advantage, with the women's game acting as a double header to Limerick Celtics men's cup game later that evening.
