TENACIOUS Treaty United put in a terrific display before succumbing 2-1 to League of Ireland Women's Premier Division leaders Peamount United at PRL Park in Dublin on Saturday.
There may have a 35 point difference between the sides on the league table prior to kick-off, but it certainly wasn't obvious on the pitch as Alban Hysa's battling side provided a stern test for the league leaders throughout.
The Treaty United official X account revealed that the average age of the Treaty players who played in Saturday evening's game with Peamount Utd was 18.5 years.
Peamount United went in front in Saturday's league game in the opening half when Erin McLoughlin netted from the penalty spot after Dearbhaile Beirne was brought down.
A second goal from McLoughlin had Peamount 2-0 up against the visitors in an entertaining contest.
A brilliant effort but we just come up short at PRL Park.

However, the young Treaty United side showed admirable resilience and hit back quickly when Orlagh Fitzpatrick produced a stunning finish when superbly curling the ball over the head of Peamount keeper Coombes and into the back of the net in the 55th minute.
Treaty pushed on to try and get an equaliser, but were unable to breach the home side's defence.
Next up for Treaty United is a trip to Bishopstown on Saturday next to face Cork City, kick-off 2pm.
