Outing to Tipperary: Out final outing of the year, Eoin Ryan’s Captain’s Prize took place last Saturday in Tipperary GC. We had a fantastic turnout with 40 players battling tough conditions on the day but we still had some great scores returned. A special thanks to Eoin who was a great Captain in 2023, Johnny Morrissey & Francis Fitzgerald for collecting the money all year & finally Timothy Ryan for managing the handicaps. CO TIPPERARY
Guests: On Tuesday last some of our lady members welcomed guests from the local Brothers of Charity in the Tipperary area to Dundrum Golf Club. The guests played some fun golf at the driving range in spite of the weather. Everyone enjoyed some refreshments in the club house. All who took part were presented with medals by Lady Captain Jacinta Coman. It was lovely to see such happy faces and we hope to welcome them again next year.
Outing: Pauline Tracey has organised an outing to Thurles on Tuesday October 3rd, so put the date in your diary. Our weekly 18-hole competition was a non-qualifier due to weather conditions and was won by 1st Niamh Chadwick (27.6) 42 pts. 2nd Libby Ryan (16.2) 39 pts. 3rd Margaret Ryan (21.2) 39 pts. Next week's competition is an 18-hole Stapleford Competition on September 24th & 27th. A reminder that our Vice Lady Captain Mary O’Donnell’s prize will be Sunday October 15th.
