Four Limerick schools to compete in 2023/2024 Dr Harty Cup hurling competition

The Dr Harty Cup draw, featuring four Limerick sides, will take place tomorrow, Thursday

FOUR Limerick schools are set to compete in the upcoming TUS Munster GAA Post Primary Schools Under 19 'A' Hurling Dr  Harty Cup competition.

The four Limerick participants include five-time Dr Harty Cup winners Ardscoil Ris, who are one of four seeded for the competition as a result of reaching the semi-finals last year. Ardscoil Ris' last success in the Dr Harty Cup was in 2018. The North Circular Road side won the All-Ireland post-primary schools senior hurling championship final in 2022 defeating St Kieran's College, Kilkenny in the final.

Joining Ardscoil Rís in the upcoming Dr Harty Cup will be three more Limerick sides, Castletroy College, John The Baptist CS Hospital and Scoil na Trionoide Doon.

A total of 21 schools have entered the Dr Harty Cup in 2023/2024.

The draws for the group stages of the competition will be made this Thursday, August 17 at 4.30pm and will be broadcast on https://munstergaapps.ie/

4 of the group winners will qualify for the Quarter-Finals
2 remaining group winners and 6 runners up will contest Preliminary Quarter-Finals
