LIMERICK snooker players, Frank Sarsfield and Mark Tuite helped team Ireland to victory in the 2023 Home International Masters competition which was held in the Northern Snooker Centre in Leeds.
Ireland beat Team England in a great match with Limerick man, Mark Tuite potting the winning balls as he made a clearance under pressure to claim in style the title for the Irish on a score of seven frames to four.
Sarsfield plays out of St John's CYMS Mulgrave Street, while Tuite is now Kilkenny based.
The rest of the team was made up of Rodney Goggins from Wexford and Dylan Rees from Waterford who together with Sarsfield and Tuite overcame Nothern Ireland, Scotland and Wales in the opening rounds of the competition.
