Limerick derby among highlights on Day 3 of Kennedy Cup at UL

THE Kennedy Cup underage inter-league soccer tournament is continuing at the University of Limerick this week, with the U14 tournament set to run until Friday.

The Kennedy Cup features 30-interleague soccer sides from across the country with three Limerick sides taking part, Limerick Desmond, Limerick District and Limerick County. 

The group stages finished on Tuesday evening with all three Limerick teams reaching the quarter-finals of the Bowl competition after finishing second in their respective group tables. 

Limerick County will play North Dublin (NDSL) and in mouth-watering fixture, Limerick Desmond will face local rivals Limerick District.

All quarter-finals for the bowl will be played at 5pm this, Wednesday, evening on the UL campus.
