Catholic Institute are joint leaders in EYHL Women's Division 1 All-Ireland league
CATHOLIC Institute women's hockey side had mixed fortunes in their EYHL Women's Division 1 All-Ireland League games last weekend.
On Saturday, Institute played out a 2-2 draw with Ards in the north with goals from Jenny Clein and Laura Foley.
Then on Sunday Institute were beaten 4-2 by Railway Union in Dublin. Their scorers were Leah Cleary and Laura Foley.
With UCD and Loreto playing out a draw in their weekend game all three teams remain on 29 points, however Institute have now played one game more.
Next up for Institute is a home game in the EYHL Women's Division 1 All-Ireland on Saturday, March 25 against Pegasus and on the following day they meet Railway Union in Rosbrien in the semi-final of the Irish Senior Cup. Institute are holders of the trophy.
