Munster Rugby centre Malakai Fekitoa

MUNSTER Rugby have today confirmed that Malakai Fekitoa will depart at the end of the campaign after one year at the province.

Fekitoa had signed a two-year contract with Munster ahead of this season.

The centre has made 11 Munster appearances to date, including nine starts, playing at inside centre and outside centre.

He made his Champions Cup debut for Munster away to Toulouse last month and featured in the historic victory over South Africa at Páirc Uí Chaoimh in November.

Fekitoa made 24 appearances for the All Blacks between 2014 and 2017 and helped the Highlanders to their first-ever Super Rugby title in 2015.

He departed the Highlanders for Toulon in 2017 and spent two seasons in France before spending the last three years at Wasps.

A World Cup winner with New Zealand in 2015, Fekitoa represents his native Tonga at international level.
