Limerick players star as Munster claim U18 Girls interprovincial title

LIMERICK girls played a starring role as Munster won the Uniphar U18 Girls Interprovincial title with a dramatic shoot-out win over Ulster at UCD.

Munster struck in the most dramatic fashion to secure a 1-1 draw, coming from behind to equalise from a short corner on the final play of the game, with Sarah Fitzgerald, of Crescent College Comprehensive and Catholic Institute, getting the crucial goal to force the game to a shoot-out

Munster went on to win the shoot-out 3-2 which helped claim the interprovincial title.
