Limerick Weather: Wednesday, April 10, 2024

WEDNESDAY, will be dull and misty with outbreaks of rain and drizzle as well as some hill and coastal fog. There'll be some dry spells too, mainly in eastern parts of the province. Highest temperatures of 13 to 15 degrees in a moderate to fresh southwesterly wind, stronger in coastal parts.

Wednesday night: The rain, drizzle, mist and fog will generally clear eastwards early on Wednesday night. It'll continue mostly cloudy though and while it'll become mostly dry, there'll be a few spots of light rain and drizzle around. A mild night with temperatures not falling below 10 to 12 degrees with moderate to fresh southwesterly winds gradually easing light to moderate.

Thursday: Apart from a few spots of drizzle, it'll be mainly dry for a time on Thursday, with a few bright or sunny spells likely in northern and eastern parts early on. However, it will become mostly cloudy, with outbreaks of rain and drizzle gradually extending from the southwest through the afternoon and evening, though its likely to stay mainly dry in some northern and northwestern parts. A very mild day with highest temperatures of 13 to 18 degrees, warmest in the east, in a light to moderate south to southwesterly wind.

Thursday night: It'll be mostly cloudy and rather misty on Thursday night with outbreaks of rain and drizzle as well as some hill and coastal fog. Another mild night with lowest temperatures of 9 to 11 degrees in mostly light to moderate southerly winds, freshening later in western coastal parts.

Friday: Friday will be mostly cloudy with some outbreaks of rain and drizzle, most persistent in the west and northwest. The rain and drizzle will be patchy elsewhere, with a mainly dry day for parts of the midlands, east and southeast where some warm spells of sunshine will break through. Highest temperatures of 12 to 18 degrees, warmest in the east, in moderate to fresh south to southwest winds.

Friday night: The rain and drizzle will clear southeastwards on Friday night, with scattered showers following, mainly into western parts. Turning a little cooler as the rain clears, with lowest temperatures of 6 to 10 degrees in moderate to fresh southwest winds.

Saturday will be a bright day with a mix of sunshine and showers, some of the showers heavy, especially in the north and west, with longer drier spells in the east and south. There's the slight chance of hail, especially in the north. Cooler than recent days, with highest temperatures of 9 to 13 degrees and it'll be breezy with moderate to fresh southwest to west winds, stronger in the west and north.

Sunday will bring further showers or longer spells of rain, with the chance of hail. Highest temperatures of 9 to 11 degrees in moderate to fresh southwest winds.
