'Hope Madrid or Barca don't come in for him!' - Celtic fans all saying the same thing about Ireland's Liam Scales

It was quite the night for Republic of Ireland and Celtic defender Liam Scales as he went up against Spanish giants Atlético Madrid in the Champions League on Wednesday.

The 25-year-old Wicklow native, who has played in all three of Celtic's European group stage fixtures to date, received plenty of plaudits for his performance at Parkhead.

The former Shamrock Rovers and UCD man defended resolutely against Antoine Griezmann and co. to help his side earn a point in a 2-2 draw in the Scottish capital.

One Celtic supporter tweeted "Another fantastic performance by Liam Scales, his spot to lose.", while another fan said "What about Liam Scales by the way? Thought he was immense again last night. It's like he's been there for years."
