Swansea boss Russell Martin has revealed that the club have rejected two bids for Republic of Ireland striker Michael Obafemi.

The 22-year-old, who has not been included in the Swans squad for their last five league fixtures, is on the search for a new club with current Championship table-toppers Burnley reportedly keen on signing the attacker.

Vincent Kompany's Clarets were interested in signing Obafemi last summer and have now reignited their interest in the electric forward with a reported £2.5 million offer.

In a recent press conference, Martin said: "We’ve had bids for two of our players in Michael and Morgan [Whittaker] but they’re still our players. We’ve knocked two bids back for Michael, one for Morgan.

"There are players that will want to move on, but it has to be right for the club. The player will see what’s right for them. We’re not forced to sell anyone on the cheap or anything like that."

Obafemi has netted 15 goals in 51 Championship appearances (Transfermarkt) since his move from Premier League side Southampton in 2021.

The Dubliner has won seven caps for the Irish senior national team, scoring two goals - including a memorable strike against Scotland in the UEFA Nations League last June.
