THREE weeks after the sides drew in Virgin Media Park, St Munchin's College and CBC are ready to do battle in the Munster Schools Junior Cup final replay this Wednesday.

The Easter break delayed the highly-anticipated rematch after the two teams played out a dramatic 12-12 draw last time out.

Down by a dozen points in the first half, Dara Giltinane’s try and Jack Goode’s conversion earned the Limerick school a second bite of the cherry after a score from Caleb Crofton-O’Riordan got them back in the game.

“It's a strange one. We're weirdly happy,” said Munchin’s head coach James O’Neill after the drawn match. “I'd say Christians are a bit more disappointed than us. It was there for them.

“We were probably a little bit off it. A few silly errors, a few mistakes, and I just felt like not a lot was going our way. So we’ll definitely take the draw and move on.”

Kick-off is at 1.30pm at Thomond Park this Wednesday, April 15 with Michael Reidy refereeing.
