PICTURES: Supporters bask in the sunny weather at Kennedy Cup in the University of Limerick

SUPPORTERS basked in the sunny weather at the University of Limerick as teams from across the country competed in this year's Kennedy Cup.

Three Limerick teams were in action with 

The quarter-finals of the tournament created a huge amount of drama for the Limerick sides who had to battle hard to progress forward to the Bowl semi-finals. The Desmond squad beat a strong Sligo contingent 4-3 on penalties as neither side could get the winning goal after regular time ended in a 1-all draw. 

Limerick District also narrowly missed out on a spot in the Bowl semi's as they lost out to Tipperary South 5-4 on penalties after a nil-all draw after full-time.
